About Me:

I am a 29 year old artist who is looking for like minded people. My art lends itself to late night and early morning excursions into some less than ideal parts of the city of Portland, Or. I frequently get called into the police department for unusual behavior. 75% of the time I am mistaken for a bridge jumper or thief and suffer the embarrassment of being patronized by a group of law enforcement officers. Despite the trouble I get myself into the process of creating these images is extremely satisfying to me. I love the stillness of the night and meditative action of cutting up my images. More importantly I see an injustice in the world today on many different levels. We have traveled down a misguided path and I believe that now is the time for change. In my opinion Art, in general, is a physical record of the collective “soul state,” a marker for where we are in the path to a higher consciousness. It is a reflection of the way things are going and can ultimately lead to and inspire a change in direction. I believe with all my heart that the human race is better than its current state of affairs. I create in hopes that the creation process or the image itself will inspire me, or anyone else for that matter, to make a change for the better. My broken images are a reflection of the world around me. It is high time we as a collective group stand up and repair our society as a whole. The time for change is now and it starts with us.
